Shooting stand regulation EWCS


1) Preface
This shooting stand regulation is posted
- in the office and
- in the lounge of the EWCS.
Moreover there is one copy kept in the office together with acceptance sheets oft the shooters which is available for consultation at any time. People who did not accept this shooting stand regulation are not allowed to take part in shooting activities.

2) Safety
People on whom a official weaponry ban is imposed are excluded from shooting.
People under influence of alcohol, medicaments or other mind-influencing substances are excluded from shooting.
People who are unfamiliar with handling weapons have to tell this circumstance to the supervising person so that corresponding instruction and assistance can be provided.
Children and young persons are allowed to stay on the club area only together with parents or legal guardian. Parents are liable for their children.
Dogs have always to be leashed.
Ear protection has to be carried whenever shooting. On the handgun and rifle stands the wearing of protection goggles is recommended in addition. Shooting on these stands without such goggles is at your own risk. While clay target shooting ear protection, protection goggles and a suitable headgear because of possible clay target fragments are mandatory. These rules apply also for all visitors or audience.
In case of malfunction of technical equipment or machines shooting has to be stopped and safety has to be established immediately (weapons have to be unloaded and be put down bolt open respectively shotguns opened), the stand supervisor has to be informed. Shooting zones and trap shelters may only be entered by qualified members of the EWCS. Unauthorized repair attempts are strictly forbidden.
Flagged safety barriers and zones have to be respected and may never be crossed or bypassed.
Directions of stand supervisors have to be obeyed without delay. In case of contravention stand supervisors are entitled to impose a sending-off.
Smoking, open fire and open light are forbidden on the in-house stands.
Each member of the EWCS is bound to adress to a person violating safety regulations and to demand immediate stopping of that behavior.

3) Handling weapons and shooting
Guns have always to be unloaded, bolt open respectively shotguns open while handling. Loading and unloading is only allowed on the shooting positions.
Shouldering or aiming exercises are only allowed on the shooting stands.
Shotgun- or rifle slings have to be taken off.
Shooting is only allowed with guns approved by the authorities that have a valid proof mark and only on the stands that are intended for that type of gun.
On the sportingclays stands shooting is only permitted while standing in the shooting position marked by a ring. Only targets that are indicated on the target menu of the postion concerning may be shot at. Exceptions are only allowed to skilled members of EWCS who are familiar with range situation, general shooting direction and safety zones while preparing or training for a competition.
Shooting with tracer or steelcore ammunition is prohibited. Clay target shooting is only allowed with guns and shells not exceeding 12 gauge and shotsize 2,5 mm.
Handling weapons in the lounge is prohibited.

4) Liability
Each shooter assumes full liability for his shot and its effect.

5) Liability exclusion by the association
Liability claims against the association that refer to damages of every description – particularly with regard to accidents or theft – that happen in the course of the stay on the associations area or in the course of using club facilities are excluded.

6) Legal effect of shooting stand regulation
This shooting stand regulation is in force from the date of announcement without restrictions and for an unlimited period.
If clauses or single phrases of this document do not correspond, do not correspond any more or do not completely correspond to the legal position, this shall not affect the validity or legality of the remaining clauses or the document as a whole.
